Offtopic: To be positive or not?

Today I saw an ambulance. I never quite know what to think then because it means that something bad has happened to a person, but on the other hand it means that the person is getting help. To be relieved that the help is coming or troubled because something negative has happened?

Same thing applies with code and errors. When our system notifies that there is a problem, should we be relieved that it is noticed or frustrated that the code wasn't flawless to begin with?

PS. Could it be that the best error-situation is the one caused by you? No-one wants to make mistakes but at least I prefer fixing things caused by my own stupidity rather than other's. Then you can only blame yourself. And hopefully learn from your mistakes. :)
